I am searching for a new oil since they changed the formula for mobil1 and my old stock is running out. What are the options for higher viscosity synthetics nowadays? Amsoil, anything else?

Ehall, I looked through Agips' website and could through all their oil products with no luck on finding the 10w-60.

I have been an avid Amsoil user for 5+ years but my 83' Callaway turbo goes through too much oil to be sticking real expensive oil in it. As of late I have been running 20w-50 Valvoline VR1, but I think next time I will either go with their VR1 60w or Kendall GT-1 50w.

It is all in the sig, but if I lived in a colder climate I would use the Redline 15w-40.

It's their 4T product. It's called 4T racing. It still uses the European standard rather than the new lousy U.S. standard. They have apparently gone up to 15/50 and 20/50. I have the older stuff.

Default Agip oil & ZDDP issues

So are all the other Agip motor oils inferior becasue they are lacking ZDDP? All but the Agip 4T line are using the new lousy U.S. standard?

This all leads to another question. Would Agip Super 4T 15W-50 be a decent choice for a non synthetic motor oil? I believe that it still is up to the European standard as it is part of the 4T line.

This web site states......Castrol Syntec is a hydrocracked oil. That's right, Castrol has replaced the PAO synthetic base stock with hydroisomerized petroleum base stock. Hydrocracking, as it's called, is the highest level of petroleum refining. Castrol isn't even a true synthetic yet Castrol ended up winning the battle when the National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus ruled that Castrol could still market its oil as "synthetic" despite their new formulation. Basically, they expanded the definition of synthetics to include Group III hydroprocessed petroleum oil.

Anyone know if this is true?

all that you mention are synthetics. Other than the motorcycle racing oils, and the dino 30 wt, the others all seem to be the API standard. This is the stuff that is of the new, less zinc, formulation. I don't use that stuff. Motorcycles run at extremely high revs, especially in racing. Agip is a stalwart in racing oils and has been for 50 years. Their new "moto" line is the replacement for the old 4T.
Slow down, you are making a ton of bad assumptions.

No need to get your panties in a bunch. Any assumption was partially based on your prior posts.

First, the Agip web site is currently listing the 4T products as active (4T Formula Moto).
Second, your posts refer to the "4T" line (which includes the previously mentioned dino oil) as having higher amounts of ZDDP.
Your statement may have been too broad regarding 4T as there are several blends. The ZDDP info you passed along is not listed on the product page, so I posted additional questions. If you do not know the answer perhaps you should just state that you do not have the specific knowledge. If your prior statement was too all encompassing, then just say so. No harm, no foul.

Does anybody have the actual knowledge to properly educate us on ZDDP? If so, please discuss all Agip motor oils, not just eHall's pick of 4T Racing Synthetic. There are many out there that still use dino motor oil and want to make a solid choice and the ZDDP issue is troubling.
