Default Oil pressure drop when turning? (Reporting Back with Solution)

Scroll down for the reason.

I tried searching, could not find a thing, although I swear I have read it before. My oil pressure started dropping from 5 bar to 2 bar when making any direction turn, or accelearting hard today. Just dropped it off at the shop for some diagnosis, although now that its summer I plan to do the work myself. Whats the problem? Pickup tube broken?

Im scared Real scared

Im almost positive I read that it had to do with the oil sloshing around in the pan, away from the pickup tube. But obviously theres more to it, something had to go wrong. I DONT WANT TO DROP THE OIL PAN AGAIN!

The rod bearings were JUST replaced by the way.

Gotta be a cracked pickup couple inches below the girdle.
Who did the rod bearings and lost patience removing the pan around the pickup?

what seal went in the pick up tube, was it changed? You might try putting in an extra 3/4 of a quart, to see if stops.

The simplest first step is to check the torque on the oil pump bolt. Next install a manual oil pressure gauge, then things get a bit more difficult and time consuming (OPRV, Pickup tube,..)

I will ask these questions to the shop that did the work. Any more advice would be great.
John - how could a the oil pump bolt not being torqued all the way create a problem just while turning or under accelleration? Thanks

Jeff

OK, heres the deal. The car had an N/A dipstick in it, which apparently has the lines in a different spot then the turbo cars. The car was WAY low on oil, causing it to have oil pressure issues while turning. The car was filled up to the fill line on the dipstick, but due to it being an N.A dipstick, this was not the correct amount of oil. There you have it.

How the hell did that happen or who put it in? How long was it like that? Could have been really nasty. Hope no damage was done.
