The head will have everything replaced and it will be converted to a solid lifter head.
In all reality, 10k rpm's is not to bad with these 16v heads.

It has already started but I am busy and it may take 2-3 months to complete and tune. I will have a video of the engine dyno pull and then once the car is ready, I will video the chassis dyno pull too.
I might even open the shop to people who want to attend the dyno runs. I might fall flat on my face but, I want to put it out there as it might be a great learning experience for some.
Yes, 1000! It will be a 968 based block, 16 valve S2 head, O -ringed, deck plate, dowled girdle, Dry sump, external water pump, ITB intake, belt drive twin cam setup, full Link EMS and a huge Garrett ball bearing turbo.
First, it will be built and dyno'ed. I'm not sure how streetable it will be but I will try. In reality, thats not my main concern.
This is for Travis and Drifto, lol..
Stay tuned...

Now that's just awesome.
10:1 compression tho? Do you need that high of a CR to get the motor spinning that high? I don't understand why you'd want such a high CR w/ that much boost. TIA for elaborating.
Good luck!

I've been eyeballing the Corvettes Tremec-56 which can be set up for transaxle, but its big (wont fit without some chop work). Looks like it can handle alot of power though too.

10:1 for added compression. The stock compression ratio is to low for that kind of power. Even so, I'm still looking at 3 bar boost to do it. Maybe more.

Do you have a boost number in mind?
I too believe in higher compression ratio along with boost for track cars. But, not for high HP runners.
I believe you'll find that you can get more HP from lowering the CR and upping the boost even more.
Hey,you going to pick up that doom intake manifold on area951.com ?
Clamp that head on tight. What were the boost numbers on the old Formula 1 cars? They made big hp from less than 2ltrs.
