Dan,
I just stiffened them 3 clicks to go to lunch today.
But didn't notice a big difference, going more click tomorrow ( i set them in the middle when i installed them, i remember 16 clicks, but it may have been 12)
I'm thinking of options for the ride height.
1. Have a machinist i know make me some aluminum 1" spacers. (or buy then)
2, Buy the Hypercoil 0900" x 2.25" x 600lb springs & sell the springs i have.
I'm entering this car in a few local shows & i want it to look perfect, not squatting like a dog taking a leak.

How much camber adjustment do i get by playing with the eccentric nut??
i heard it was between -1 & 1.5 degrees.
How does the excentric bolt in the back work ??? i can't wrap my head around it and i'm a product engineer.

I know what you mean. $$$
Here are some spring spacers.

Jason do you have these spring spacers? I know when I bought my springs you didn't have 9" so I went with 8 and found some spacers. At least this way I could use the springs front or rear. (May happen someday)
Guys, Jason has nice stuff... :^) Talk to him. He's your friend. He races a 968 turbo IIRC.

Here is a site describing the adjustment process. You loosen up the first dirty bolt on the right and then the essentric bolt on the far right.
http://boerger.golden-tech.com/ride.htm
He describes 5mm of height adjustment. He may be talking at the bolt.
My experience has been about 1-1.5" from full up to full down.
NOTE: This will change alignment and possibly affect tire wear.
If you decide to do this, measure it first and tell us how much it changes.

The QA1 part number was DR4855B they WERE 169.99ea in 2002.
You still need springs, lower shock mounts, and in my case 2" shock extensions. There is a real possiblity that QA1 now sells the correct lengtht shock.

What lower shock mount did you use?
Thanks

DanD
Thank you.
I am going to order 2" spacers tomorrow.
I understand camber better now. I marked mine and tried to set it back, but was off a little.

FWIW, it's very important with the QA1 oil shocks to turn the dial slowly, and one click at a time. When making adjustments, turn it all the way counter clockwise (full soft), and start over.

I used a homemade mount. Very bad idea. Broken several times. I currently have one shock off the car because I refuse to put it back on until I can afford the Racers Edgs Mounts. Should be ordering them next week. You could make a mount, but it's real hard to find the correct thread. The key is to have a very tight connection against the control arm. I haven't been able to find the materials to do it correctly.

DVC: Noted.
Racers edge mounts are the only way to go.
I had to swap the bearings on mine end for end because i wanted to run it inverted, It wasn;t a big deal, but i had to shave obe bearing down a touch to fit the lock ring.

Thanks for the info about the ride height Dan. I already lowered my car using the eccentrics and was able to get about 1 inch of drop. My car is about 13 inches from the center of the wheel to the fender lip. I dont really plan to go much lower than that as its always an adventure to get around town as is. I have about 3.5 inches of ground clearance with my front spoiler. Probably one inch of clearance with the 968 brake scoops hanging off the control arms! If anything, maybe .25 inches all around to totally eliminate whats left of the wheel gap.
I am considering ditching the torsion bars completely and going directly to the RacersEdge lower mounts and the coil overs. I figure it will eliminate the need to mess around with reindexing the torsion bars, setting them neutral for preload and make it easier to change spring rates if i ever get around to it. Ill worry about it in a few months when i actually get around to this
