Default Sweet widebody 951 from Buttonwillow NASA weekend

This car was in my run group. I talked to the owner, this was his first event in the car and he was just feeling it out. I think he said he has a street 951 as well. I should've had him lift the hood for some more shots. Maybe next time.

Check out the dish on those wheels! They're only 305's or so, most of it is just outboard of the hub. Huge negative offset.

And the obligatory shots of my M3...

Very cool - I like the intercooler/radiator/whatever placement in the rear there.

I like it, but from the side the rear looks like its way up in the air. Very nice car though.

Looks like it's the Vision motorsports car - used to be blue and yellow. Unblieveable car. I love the rear end with the diffuser, tranny cooler, etc - work of art.

That fitting under the 'O' in 'ORCA' on the back is for the air jacks. Good sleuthing Skip.

If I remember right it sold for a very reasonable price, almost to good to be true.

That's a very nice looking car. Especially the widebody kit. It looks so smooth and seamless. Is that the impression you got from up close? They do look very much alike too. The dish is incredible. Makes me wonder if it was an '86 to start with the narrower track?
Thanks for the photos. Excellent reporting.
