Gonna be working on the blown headgasket issue soon. Once I get the head off is there anything I should do to it while its off? I caught the headgasket just when it blew and car never got hot so I think there wont be any warpage so assuming the head is good what are some improvements (if any) that can be done?
Also I will be swapping the K27/6 out for a LR Super61 with a 3" downpipe and put on my LR Stage IV MAF......hopefully get a hookup from Max951 for the necessary chips, Maxtronic and whatever else I need.
Anybody got any other recommendations while I'm doing all this?

remove the AOS and change the o-rings, since the turbo is out and you can get the heat shields out of the way.
get a stock headgasket kit, then buy the MLS headgasket.

Tom thanks for the list - I appreciate it.
Clean Bell-Housing Grounds - Will do
Update '86 venturi with '87 hoses - Done
Replace vacuum hoses - Done
Replace Head Studs - Will Do. What type do you recommend?
Replace Timing Belts - Even if they dont need replacing yet?
Replace Coolant Hoses - I got all coolant hoses waiting to go in
Replace Accessory Belts - Can do
Replace Plugs/Cap/Rotor/Wires - Will do
Valve Job/Head Machine Work - Is this necessary when replacing the head gasket? Is this just a maintanence issue or can power be gained by this? What type of head work?
Replace Injector O-rings - Injectors are new
Have injectors cleaned - Injectors are new
Throttle Body Reseal - Will do

Where do you recommend to buy the MLS headgasket and kit?

As far as the head, Its not normal but It wouldn't hurt. Check it for flatness. A general rebuild should be around $300-375.

Air/Oil Seperator O Rings (it's basically impossible to do them with the turbo in, so do them now for peace of mind). Buy your gasket set from Paragon, comes with EVERYTHING you need.
