duke, nice idea. have you done that before with the shroud? what would the thickness off the head be in that area before it hits water jacket?
Rob, those rods are the steel version, as much as we would like the Ti ones my budget didnt allow. im just so glad to have the block back from the machinest, we had the engine out and completly stripped in two days... then the machine shop took 6 weeks. i know its a hell of a long time compared to you guys the US, but at was done properly so im happy about that.
Mike, thats right 104mm, using the stock crank so it should be 2.7ltr

ok 2nd day update, we did the ring gaps in the morning and measured the crank and rods. well the Rods are a perfect fit, just what i like to see. then we put the crank in and next the pistons and rods and torqued them up to spec. next came the windage tray, not a perfect fit but we did get it to fit. then the sump went on, and a few extra bits and pieces like the balance shafts. tomorrow we will get the head on and the cam belts etc. if all goes well the engine may be in the car tomorrow night.

your going to laugh at this ST, but i have a standard cluch assembly going back in. we want to find the limit of the factory items before we upgrade up.
