MBC with an ARC2, and a Zeitronix to watch it all...

Maybe I'm missing something.

I think the key is that there are at least 3 versions of the K27 compressor:

kldz(?)
K27/7006
K27/7200

I forget the exact name of the first one but it is basically a K26 compressor variation. The 7006 was std in the 91-92 964 turbos whereas the 7200 came out in the 93-94 models. It is also regarded as the upgrade for the other two. This dyno operator started the runs late but I can tell you the boost hits at around 2700-2800 rpms. Makes it a very fun track car because I can squirt away from most of the higher HP cars in just about any speed turns.

The original turbo on the 930 up to MY89 was the 3LDZ.
The C2 Turbo starting in 1991-1994 (includig C2 3.6T ) uses the K27-7200 not the 7006.

That's the thing, EC - I have NEVER seen a k27 spool like this on a 2.5. Yours is a keeper!
Usually it is hit or miss, depending on who made it.

So who used the 7006? I remember reading on some C2 site about upgrading to the 7200.

I went with this combo b/c of TonyG's recommendations. I have to credit him, and the Guru Chips!
