Here is a picture from 944S2.com of a stock turbo/S2 deflector.

All it does is direct air found in the wheel well into the disk. The 968 duct starts by placing a deflector lower down on the control arm to scoop clean air passing under the car and direct it upward. Then the replace the flat control are deflector with a scoop to catch the air coming up from below and guide it into the center of the disk.

The 968 upper portion bolts directly to mounting points of the stock plate deflector

Do the 968's not have the brake cooling duct like the 951's do? Or is this just to add to the cooling?

968s do not have the cooling ducts from the nose directed to the scoops on the strut. They have the set-up that Rolex posted a picture of. They scoop cool air from under the car and direct it to the rotor.

Actually it deflects air that is brought in through the ducts in the bumper cover. That deflector is part of a system, not a stand-alone brake-cooling solution. They wanted to do away with those ducts (or couldn't fit them in) for the 968, so they had to find another way to get air to the brakes, hence the underbody scoops.

Jon, since you'r looking for an euro front bumper , when you get it just convert the fog light housings on you front valance into vents. It will be by far the most efficient way of cooling your brakes

How much different/how much more effective are these from the 951 ones? Can't really get a picture of how the above one is different from the 951 in my head.
I have heard that this was the set-up used on the early 911 cup cars. They are suppose to be a direct bolt on with racer's edge control arms.

Slight update, just ordered everything. Brackets should be here next week but the scoops were a special order and will take probably two. Total cost for everything was less than $120. Was able to get the scoops for about $13-14 each from Sunset thanks to some suggestions. Contacted Bill at Frozen Rotors and he was very helpful with the brackets which were $50 + shipping.

Thanks to everyone for there input..and Rolex for letting me know Frozen Rotors still carried the brackets!

No thank you Jon. You were the one who had me concerned that they didn't carry them anymore. So I called and they do, thank God! Good luck with them, and take some pics when they are mounted too.

Cheers

Have any of you chaps got any pics of the Frozen Rotor brackets...??
Im looking into this myself to fit to my S2....

The reason the ducts from a 951 dont fit to the 968 is the oil cooler is in the way on the 68...
