Alas he know what balance shaft covers are but doesn't know what's in the box. I see a few worthless cogs, a balance shaft support bracket,
The oil pickup tube is probably the only thing of value...I'll give him $5...

This guy looks like one of the new selling services that have most likely have contributed to ebays increased fee structure.

I have so many mystery boxes like that around here. I'm sure I'm not alone. Every time I look for a part I pull all those tubs down from their shelves in my Little Shed of Horrors. Funny thing is I know where most everything is, I just don't know what they are

after informing the seller that there was no such thing as a 944 turbo from 1984, in america, here's what he had to say back lol
As you can figure, the person that gave us these items did not know much about them. I personally think Porsche's are and over-rated Volkswagon so I would never wast my time learing about them. I'm glad you pointed out that there are no TURBO 944's from 1984. So the only thing wrong with the listing was the word TURBO. Oh and just so you know, there are rare instances of cars, parts, and other weird engine combinations that different auto manufactures have done that the general public has no clue about. Especially these Know It Alls. Just take the 1957 Chevrolet Black Widow for example. It took the general public over almost 24 years before one surfaced and Chevrolet finally admitted that there were a few of these built in the factory. Since the 944 TURBO was introduced in 1986, I wouldn't put it past Porsche to have had a 944 TURBO test car in 1984. If that test car would ever get into the publics hands, well I guess your emails of over-confident auto trivia might slow that sharp tone down a little. Next time you might try it like this:
Hello, your listing appears to have a slight error. The first year a Porsche 944 was available with a Turbo was the 1986 model.
Anyway, I still got your drift although you provided no facts and could be just some raving lunatic. So with that said, have a nice day!

What a worthless sh%thead! I think everyone should bombard this guy with questions about these "84turbo" parts.

See ehall, ollie showed you....maybe there is a pre-series car in Nevada and this Jackass somehow stumbled on it.
Teaches you for trying to educate the parts peddler.

Hello I am very interested in these parts. Can you tell me about the car it came from. I heard 1984 was a desirable year for the turbos. These parts seem very valuable and i hope i win!

Well here was the reply. Getting $5 worth of parts inspected?
Hello,
I am having these parts looked at tommorrow by a local Porsche restoration mechanic. I will be able to list more information then. Please keep in mind that what I have been told so far is that the turbo 944 was not introduced until 1986. I believe these parts are just from a common 944 engine, and not a turbo engine. I'll post more information tomorrow. Thanks for looking.
