I've raced a CBR 600F4i from 60 to 150.
At the start the bike got about half a car on me. When i got into the rev's he never gained more.
From around 125 a up i canned it back and was about to pas him around 150 when he lifted.
That was back in summer of 05 running 18psi.

The R6 wil beat almost all the cars on this forum in a race. As others have mentioned your best bet is from a roll but even then the bikes are not exactly what you call slow. I have 2 friends with 2005 model R6's and both run 10.9-11.0 @ 126-129mph on almost every pass in the 1/4mile. While compared to other bikes that is pretty slow. stop and think for a second and look at moddified 996's and what they run in the 1/4mile.

1. 10.37 @ 139.6 - EVOMS 800+ HP TT (RWD at time of run)
2. 10.55 @ 135.6 - Joetwint / EVOMS 800 HP TT (AWD)
3. 10.62 @ 132.5 - Sharky / Sharkwerks 800 HP TT(AWD)
4. 10.65 @ 135.4 - Divexxtreme / Protomotive 675 HP TT (RWD)
5. 10.74 @ 131.7 - Hamann7 / Protomotive 675 HP TT (AWD)
6. 10.77 @ 131.5 - RenntechV12 / EVOMS 700 HP GT2
7. 10.82 @ 137.2 - DMK / EVOMS 800 HP TT (RWD)
8. 10.96 @ 133.2 - Cgmeredithjr / Imagine Auto 700 HP GT2
9. 11.0x @ 133.9 - RUF RT-12 650 HP TT (RWD)
10. 11.01 @ 133.8 - Excellence Magazine / EVOMS 700HP TT (AWD)

So from a stop only 10. of the fastest 996TT's could beat these bikes in a drag race from over at 6speed online. However, from a roll looking at the trap speeds it looks like 22 would beable to win over a R6. I don't know about anyone else on this forum but I think there are only about 3-4 cars on this 944 Turbo section that MIGHT trap a 126mph.

i remember pulling up behind a cbr600 in my supra on the highway. He turned and looked behind him, leaned down and squeezed the throttle through a long turn and into a straight away. Once the road straightened out he sat up and looked behind him but i was right next to him, with my a/c on just kinda sitting there. He looked puzzled. I pulled off the exit and he followed me because he couldnt believe he didnt blow me away i guess.

600cc bikes are not that fast, period. We are not talking about Liter bikes here. A small bikes main advantage is 0-100mph. After that we have the advantage. If the rider has his elbow out, is a little high, a knee is out, then his already ****ty areo just took a dump.

Go from a high roll (60-80mph) and take away the bikes advantage.

From experience, if you can stay with a small bike until around 110-120mph, then you will start pulling.

Pipe-Dreams...

Any Real Sport Bike R6/600RR/ZX-6R/GSX-R 600 is going to be faster then almost every car on this forum. Racing bikes like the Kantuna 600 is like beating up on the retard of the faimly. Also, older bikes are alot slower then the current 600s on the market. A prime example is a ZX-11R (1.1L) from 1994 runs about the same 1/4mile time as a current 600...

Whatever. I'm talking from what I've experienced, not bench-racing. 1/4mi racing is very different for a bike then roll-ons.

In a stock 951 I would say not to bother, however Toddk911 is running a very large turbo that will shine on the high speed pulls.

What turbo is he running? What's his power output? Yes they are quick, but I'm pretty sure he could run one down. I've heard his car is pretty quick as well.

irrelevant, lightly modified 951s **** all over anything else. it only takes about 290rwhp for a 951 to outrun a 996tt.

Fishey your arguement is flawed. The trap is a better indicator of speed than the ET. Those 996's would anihilate an R6 on the highway, not to mention R6's top out right around 150mph. Lower than the 951 even.
