Thanks! I used to be Third Tier Product Support for a company that makes electronic bingo games for US Indian casinos.... Some of those places are ****holes, and im being nice there Id usually didnt help that I was often there because sometime was wrong, or there was an upgrade going on. Downtime costs money, at one place it worked out to over $1000/hour if we were down on the weekend.

LOL yeah Chris will get my engine block sometime in Jan or early Feb I think if all goes to plan.

Really, I am Italian and Peruvian, so take it easy. And my goat, or whatever he is, with his ding dong hanging, came across the US border with me too. So cut us some slack, ok? Just because you are a big shot now because you got a job, doesn't mean you can attack the minorities! We make up the majority of the US and Canadian workforce!!

Its a street car!! 10th time!! If you're going to the track take the 3.5 min. per corner to put race pads on and they won't melt. And we've been thru this way too many times now....want to make a race car?...go ask any Speed GT or ALMS driver and ask them if a race trim Vette can run.

You're sticking to your jammed guns based on opinions and hypotheticals....I'm stating facts.
Dude - I really don't understand what point you are trying to make. (And I don't know why I keep feeding the troll...)

I will type this s l o w, because it is obvious you can't read too fast. So, here is the story so far...

1. I made the comments that based on what I've heard, Z06 brakes as lacking, and that they don't hold up well on the track.

2. At some point, you came trolling in here, and said I was full of crap, and that the Z06 Vette brakes are spectacular. Quoting magazines and lap times and whatever.

3. I did some research and verified, based on folks who have real world experience track driving Z06's with stock brakes, that they indeed are NOT up to the task of track driving.

4. You reluctantly admitted that this was true - that for the racetrack, Z06 pads aren't up to speed. (Pun intended).

5. Then you changed your story and said that Z06 brakes are indeed fine for STREET driving.

6. I stated that I was specifically talking about track applications.

7. Now you come back here and start bad mouthing me - calling me blind and deaf? Nice job, Spanky.

Ok C. Beau - here I will say it: The Z06 Vette braking system is plenty capable for the street. That said, I can also confidentally say that the braking system of a freakin' Chevy Cavalier is ALSO plenty capable for the street. As are the brakes on a Ford Escort, and a Hyundai Excel. So what's the point? You see, C. Beau - the racetrack is what separates the men from the boys - or, in this case, capable braking systems vs. systems that simply MELT. For you see, you simply cannot reproduce on the street the stresses a car goes through on the racetrack. But your numbers and stats in a textbook do not show this!

Now, a suggestion for you - go for a ride in a Z06 Vette ON THE RACE TRACK (I doubt you own one - just like I doubt you own a 951 as well). See if the stock braking system holds up well lap after lap. You see, beyond numbers and magazine stats, there is a real world out there. Often, the numbers don't add up with what is experienced in the real world.

Oh, and BTW, lap times at the 'Ring have more to do with going FAST, rather than slowing down...

-Z-man, wondering why I keep feeding this troll....

BOYAKA BIOTCH...corvettes are fine machines, until you open the door and see what they look like on the inside...I mean the 951 isn't the best ever, but **** my 550 is like a bentley compared...AND ITS FAST TOO! I actually think my 550 has a higher top speed, and i can have friends in the back sipping champange WHILE I DO 180. Ahhhhh the sounds of silence...american motors lope like they do because they are engineered to be "slop" machines...Porsches, Bimmers, Ferraris aren't thus they command respect for engineering. I'm not going after shields and badges...rather precesion and grace...history, neigh HERATIGE some call it....
