random technologies these are the best cats and they actually work some of the others not so good. metal cats are junk i've tried a few others flow is not so well. bottom line if you need one it should work, why is your floor staining? that's not a cat prob. contrary to popular belief a properly sized cat will not cut down on power

Proof?

Any backpressure post turbine is detrimental, period.

that's why i said properly sized-a cat is not a restriction if properly sized i have seen most perf. mufflers flow at 475 cfm or so i saw a 3" performance cat flow at 502 where's the restriction

Take some backpressure readings, I bet you will be suprised. Its similar to taking a whole bunch of stir-straws and blowing through them, sure you can breath but not that easily.

I can't speak to the flow numbers and the science, but swapping a test pipe in a 951 will add noticeable HP, at least in my experience.

Check with SFR on high flow cats. I bought one from LR and it didn't look "high-flow". But the cat i put on my 944S, you could basically see through.

What are you using to get backpressure readings?

hard to tell if I lost performance,b/c I dont have "before" dyno readings.IMHO it was the best option for a cat,I needed one b/c of local rules and I'm too lazy to fiddle with test pipes.Exhaust tone is very low,I have just that and a big Magnaglow muffler and its still almost too quiet.Doesn't draw too much attention.
I can't say if it's the cat or my turbo that causes the most of the backpressure, but it's almost two times boost at 6000rpm+.
My turbo is completely modified KKK27/6 and I get 348hp @ 5568rpm and 506Nm ( = 375lb-ft ) @ 4056rpm ( both at flywheel ).

LOL, putting a cat on a modified turbocharged car is a waste of money. While I can appreciate it's environmental benefits anyone with a chemical understanding knows that a turbocharged car provides everything required for maximum cat death.

At 300whp a nice high flow cat is maybe hindering you 2-3whp tops with about 100 - 200 RPM of spool difference. If the cat would live longer I'd probably put one on my car.
