Default SFR intake manifold

I know a number of you have the lindsey unit, but the SFR one is cheaper, and looks like a superior design. Why doesnt anyone here have it?

I just went to view it. Um..... Trying not to seem negative.. I guess I can only just give silence then..

I put one of their intakes on a 350Z. EDIT>>> erased.

I searched for one to put on my car. It takes a lot to make one, (one that works) and the time it will take will cost me about as much as just buying one. But at this point, after seeing whats out there.. I'll probably just make a one off for me Next January.

I did see one on here that looked pretty trick with a dual chamber. I never got to see how that turned out though. It seems Lindsey may have some decent work in theirs, although I haven't seen a true back to back comparison. (Dyno before, and exact setup, just intake after)

I am spoiled with the Honda crowd.

I have seen HUGE increases in power with different aftermarket intake manifolds and ONLY the manifolds. 40+hp. (On 400+ hp vehicle though) SO. I'm very sure it's worth looking into. Supra's making even larger increases strictly through changing out the intake manifold . (800hp before, 1000hp after - with tuning for extra air flow) Extreme, and not ever going to be our situation for numerous reasons, but I see still gives an example of possibilities.

95ONE brings up good points and although I can't speak for the quality of the intake, their exhaust is great. The problem really is that very few people are above the 400HP level with their 951. There are even fewer that are willing to drop $1,000 for a 20-40HP increase.

No, not for the 600 wheel attempt........
But the only guy who ever welds anything for my car is him.

I have only spent $13.87 on my car to date.

Just a poor boy - papa empreso, mama con otro, perro boracho, gato muerto, etc.......

ST, were you still on the stock intake manifold on your last dyno run?! If so, that's got to be a big restriction at your power level.

It is only port-matched.

But again, no one here is using one??? I am looking into new intake manifolds, and would like some sort of comparison between the ones out there.... The lindsey one is pritty....... But as a exellent fabricator, I'd just expect the SFR one to be better... Maby I'll just have to be the test mule here....

I've had the LR one, and thought it was a very nice piece. It definately did help with the mid/high BP. I don't have concrete numbers now, so I can't tell you. But don't just say it is pretty, why don't you visit their web site on it. It has alot of information that they published.

The SFR? I don't know anyone who is is running his 951. You are talking about that one, not the custom 968, right? Tim had at one time and odver version of his 951 intake on the web site, and now, came out with a newer one. I don't know anyone who is running it, nor have I seen threads on it too. Sorry, I just know about the LR one.

And of you don't care about looks at all and like carbon firber, you could consider the JME one? It has been proven to be probably one of the best ones ever made. However, it is the most expensive too, and he won't disclose any flow numbers on it too. Take a look.
