I just received mine as well and if it wasn't -23 celcius for the last few days I would have some pictures of it installed to show off.

I have received mine as well. The quality is well worth the wait.
Thanks Crazy Eddie
Thanks DYNATECH MOTORSPORTS
I'm still suffering from triptophan overload from the turkey, so they will go on later.

Default Update

Yes, Bill, yours went out on Monday.

Thingo: ready to ship. Have to sort our the international shipment.
Beorge: ready to go. Will drop of the at your buddy's the next day or two.

aribop: Can't wait to see the strut brace mounted over that engine. I really like the blue and silver color scheme. Makes me miss by S2.

Brian E/ the edge: Last chance on the camberplates. Need to hear from you by Friday if you want them.

Ski/Brett Patten: Same for you. Last chance.

Soloracer: We will knock $10 off of the camberplates to cover part of the $18 screw job. Sorry about that. The camberplates are for the 951 M030 right? Do you have a 968 also? Your #2 on the wait list, but we will have to get some more spring perches. This will take about 2 weeks. Also, see your PMs.

facboy: see PM. We should be able to process your order in a few days.
blodstrupmoen: see PM. You're #1 on the wait list. Send spring info.
Rob Fair and MitchB, got both of you down for the last batch.

Sean

Sean,

The plates are for my 968 M030 - not the 951 M030. Not sure if that makes a difference but thought it should be said. I replied to your PM's. Thanks.

I test fitted my 951 bar and the fit was almost perfect. Just a note to others looking to install their bar you will need a thin wall socket to put the nuts back on because the clearances are too tight for a normal socket. Here's a pic - sorry for the dirty engine bay.

To get the 968 bar I surfed the web looking at all the boards and found a gentleman in England willing to part with his unused bar. I had to pay a premium for it but I think it was worth it. The only problem with the fit had to do with the drivers side bracket. The bolt holes were slightly off and the part of the bracket that slides into the bar was too thick and wouldn't slide in smoothly. However, with a small file and some sandpaper everything was fixed and now it fits like a glove. The only potential problem I can see is the clearance over the vanity cover which is really, really tight. If the engine moves even a little bit it will hit the bar. I'll have to check and see what clearance is needed. Here is another shot:

Since I got my bar from another source it looks like you are now in for sloppy seconds. As Dirty Harry would say "Do you feel lucky punk? Well, do ya?"

Nice install, looks like it really belongs there, with all the nice polished surfaces. Dirty? Looks like a real world 951 to me!

No I don't but you can see the intercooler piping on the exhaust side of the engine which takes you to where the turbo sits. To get a picture of the turbo system I would have to get the car up in the air. The turbo is mounted low on the passenger side and sort of hangs off the headers. The wastgate is a large 930 model and tucks up under the drivers side. The exhaust is all custom stainless and uses some pretty nice v-band clamps. There is an oil resevoir and weaver pump that pumps the oil back to the oil pan after it goes through the turbo. This is done because the turbo oil drain sits lower than the oil pan.
