That is to say, that once we know the max. intake charge temp value for our engine, then for example, on hot days, we know by how much to reduce boost. It would be great if we could get some real world practical data from rennlisters. It's on my wish list to start recording mine, but then, I've got so much stuff on my wish list....
I have a bunch of datalogs from all my sensors including intake temps taken from right before the throttle body, but I don't know what to do with them. I've been looking for the same answers you are as to when I should start worrying that the intake charge temp is too high.

Also, I run 94 octane ethanol blended gasoline at 17psi from my k26/8. I have my fuel maps tuned to run this type of fuel, so if I switch to unblended gasoline I need to remove a percentage of fuel to compensate for the increase in fuel density.

I have just finised implementing the water injection on the SMT6 3d map.
I am running 26 psi in 4th gear 100% throttle in the high heat with no timing retard.
Pump gas no meth.... yet.

I have datalogged results, but I will let the dragstrip and the dyno do the talking.

^ At what RPM do you reach 26psi?

OK heres one.

In California the highest octane we can get is 91. What would be a safe boost level to run?

(55# injectors, 3bar FPR, LBE, 951max chips, LR DP wastegate, not cat, evo diverter valve, and k&n drop in.)

I'm guessing 14-15 is good? The minimum octane rating for these cars is stated 91 and my PO used 87 most of the time.

Octane booster, is there 1 known brand of this out there that can be depended upon to provide the protection required to continue 15/18 psi operation? Thanks.

pretty much all octane boosters dont do much, but you would be better off buying a couple of gallons of xylene and mixing it with 93 octane just dont go over a 30% or so mix or you will foul plugs

I guess no-one wants to talk about the different combustion chamber dynamics of the 8V versus the 16V i think super tuner needs a windscreen sticker that says water injection active outamay way

Er eh

....... this is a race fuel concentrate, not an octane booster like the one you buy at pep boys that claims to raise your octane.
