Lots of boost and getting nervous
I just installed a new TiAL 38mm waste gate the other weekend and the NoVA rain finally let up to let me take it for a spin. I can say with certainty that my boost is more consistant than it has ever been.
My concern is that I am consistantly running 20.5 lbs of boost. I am currently running a o-ringed cylinder head with a WFHG (but probably pushing that thresholds limit). My A/F gauge is on the fritz so I am looking into that over the weekend to see it I am running too lean.
Any thoughts on if this is normal and what I should be watching out for?

I am running Weltmeister chips and no fuel controller as of yet.

TURN DOWN THE BOOST AND STEP AWAY FROM THE LBE
Dial back the boost to whatever level you were running before the Tial instal.

Steve, are you using the LBE in single port or dual port?
Here's a good thread: Dual Port WG MBC setup

I am sure those chips are only mapped for NO MORE THAN 15PSI! If you are running more than this you are probably running very lean! I would not run like this until you have some A/F control

I will address my A/F gauge this weekend and see what that is telling me (for the record is a narrow band gauge..I know, shame on me). Secondly, what are my options with addressing the likely hood of not enougth fuel? Would a 3.0 bar FPR add any benefit at this point? Lastly, should I consider new chips or, ideally, the piggy back system from Vitesse?
Unfortunately, my pockets only go so deep and I have to take baby steps for my "project car"
Regarding the LBE, that is coming out. The only reason I had it was due to the fact that at the time I did not have budget to get a new waste gate and I used it as a stop gap on the OEM waste gate.
Thank you for the answers and assistance thus far.

Just turn the LBE down until you get an a/f reading.

Me too, the Lindsey website says that it is pre-set at 10psi.
I also have the Welt chips in my car and from what everyone has told me, they are designed to be used with the 3 bar FPR, and wastegate shims or upgraded WG.
Also, the Welt chips are mapped to 15psi.
Be careful.... 20psi, lean A/F ratio, and improper chips= disaster

Is the Tial installed correctly? if the tial is installed backwards, it will run high boost no matter what the boost controller setting is.
