If You Could....
...set up your 951 as a purpose built (budget minded) Drift car what would you do?
Suspension...
Motor...
Etc...
Im in the process of putting this project together and im curious to see what other ppl would do and how my planned set-up differs (seeing as how my expertise is in Nissans not Porsches)

There is someone on here who did just this with an NA. I suspect you would follow that course pretty close. He would also be a good source to tell you the in's and outs.

most of drift is driver skill, drivetrain strength (how long it goes before you break something), and suspension. i wouldnt work on the motor unless you plan on doing something.....well, crazy.
most of it is driver skill.
realistically, though, a 2nd Gen RX7 would serve the purpose better than a 951.
bigger aftermarket, lots cheaper, and when you crash it, you're not crashing a porsche
edit- and the 2nd gen RX7 market to drift has been done a LOT more than the 951 drift market....
a WHOLE lot more.

SON OF A.... Ill Check that out (edit* i looked real quick but didnt see the thread). But being that mine is a turbo and they are different in suspensions and motor and drivability (TURBO LAG) someone humor me!
To contrast, a few of my thoughs were
CW- Unfortunatly yes... Unless i wanna pay for EVERYTHING.
95juan- I know.. ive been drifting for years but i wanted to see what ppl would say about stuff like suspension specs, and motor mods setting the car up for lower RPM power and response.
I actually almost bought an FC as my track car b4 i got the 951 but the guy sold it literally hours bafore I went to pick it up. I got the 951 cuz of its potential and to bring a new flavor to drifting.

HAHAHA OMG I will backhand anybody that says I am jumping on the FF3 Drifting Bandwagon. Ive been drifting for 3 years so please no "poser" BS!!! (sorry, you found my button, just try not to push it! )
But i am expecting to see 16y/o noobs coming out of the woodwork, snatching up every RWD car after that crap is released, and ruining it for everyone by doing that **** all over the streets!
