I think I will try some yarn taped to the inside of the hood first

 

Looks great David! We thought about cutting and bolting some on the track car but that looks really nice!

 

Any way we could see the machine that did this?

I have not had any luck in the DFW(Texas) area.

I never saw the machine, I told them what I wanted, they showed me a couple of samples of what they could do and that was that.

I looked for almost a year before I found a shop that could stamp louvers.

Louver presses typically are large-throat presses that let you put the louver dies anywhere on an entire body panel. Place panel, stamp louver into sheet metal, repeat.

 

Where's that naked blond chick sprawled out on the hood of a red 944 when you need her?? How's that for a mental picture?
