looks great...i have been toying with the idea of doing somthing simular..there is a guy who builds hot rods around the corner form me who has a machine to stamp vents..but i do not want to repaint my hood..so im going with somthing that i will have to weld to the hood..i was thinking somthing like these from an old jeep

I did paint and body on Porsches for a few years while going to school. David's way to go is THE way to go. My only comment would be to remove the paint in the area of the louvers before stamping, as trying to sand around them is certainly more of a PITA than a flat sheet of steel.
I've had louvers stamped into a sheet of aluminum I used as a replacement for the foward belly pan. I paid a lot more money per louver than David. He got a great deal, and the guy looks like he did a great job.
(Any 928 owners that want to do this should limit theirs to 5 per side, as true sharks have only 5 gill plates.)

You got that right, I spent many hours sanding/priming around the vents, till I was happy

Ok.. she is home !! nice to drive her after 5 months, lots of clean up to do, engine bay is filthy !!!!
I need a few gaskets for door handles and such, then final assembly.
Not 100% show stopper quality.. but does look very nice.
