Default Wheel decisions....

I'm looking to get some wheels for my ride and right now can not decide between a set of 18" white Volk TE-37s

or a set of 17" Fikse Mach-V (black center and polished lip).

I prefer a 17" wheel but I really want it in white (my car is red) and the Volks are lighter and less expensive than the Fikse.

What to do...

I say the TE37, very light, great styling and distinctive-though I prefer the TE37 in black with polished lip-special order.

How much are those Volks? I do like white wheels on red 951s. I was thinking of powdercoating my phonedials white but decided to go with Twists. Do you have a photo of those TE37s on a red 951?

17 is alot better on the car. ITs not as hursh as the 18inch. Our cars were not design for 18 inch wheels. I heard of people cracking shock towers. you can also drop your a little lower then you would if you had 18 inch. And me personally i think 17 handles on the track a little better than 18inch my .2

reno,
I agree. I really want 17" wheels but I want white forged ones. The Volks are great wheels and at about $2,300 they are almost $400 less than the Fikses wheels which are not available in the color I want.

Danny,
I don't have any pics of it but I've seen white wheels on a red car and I like the look. The Fikses with black centers/polished lip are my second choice as far as looks go.

If both sets of wheels were the same price (white 18" volks versus black/polished 17" fiskes) then I'd probably lean toward the fikses.

I've thought about that but when it's all done I'd have spent almost $1,000 more than the Volks and will have voided any warranty on the Fikse .
