Before the change the car did 243RWHP and 266ft/lb.
I dynoed the car last week after putting in a LR 3" exhaust, deleting the cat and putting on a 38mm tial.
Dynoed at 13psi which was the same as before except the stock wastegate was only able to hold peak boost for about 600rpm coming on peak at 4100 and starting to die down at 4700. We werent able to get a boost map on the recent dyno but I'm sure the tial is holding the boost all the way to 5500 (didnt push farther than this) and I checked the memory recall on the boost gauge and it was at 13.0
New numbers are 294RWHP and 319ft/lb. Not bad I think.

OMG! Maybe I'm wrong, but that sounds like a drastic increase! VERY cool!
I have NO idea what kind of #s my car puts out (pretty stock with exception of Guru chips, etc), but just removing the CAT and installing a Tial (which are both things I've been considering) sound like an easy way to gain some major power.
My only concern about doing so is the ability to pass emissions without the CAT. I've still got another 6 years before I can avoid that testing.

Very nice results for only 13psi. I think I recently had a dyno run at 12 psi and got around 290 on a 2.5.

I wonder what kind of gains the 2.5L would give with these same mods?

Ive been told by a very very smart person that the stock 951 wastegate isnt a great design. He recommended a tial 38mm wastegate for a stock turbo. Ill be ordering mine once i get some more money.

Yeah my stock wastegate was the same (i didn't even make more than 7 psi going up hills!!!) but now with the tial it is such a difference!
That was a simple upgrade you did and look at the performance!! congrats!![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Maybe that new Tial turbo I have been hearing about will convince me to make the change.
Anyway in about 2 months I will switch to 75# injectors and the Scivision MAF and we will see how that goes.

I have been planning to do a before / after dyno to show any difference in upgrading to full 3" exhaust (no cat) sometime in the next couple of weeks. I'm curious to see what kind of gains I'll see while keeping the stock WG. I'll get a Tial eventually and could then do another dyno run to see further gains. would be interesting for sure.
