Question M030 Suspension - Standard on 1990 944Turbo S?

Was the M030 suspension standard on the 1990 model Turbo 944, or was it an extra cost option?

Don't know about ROW 1990 models, but it was standard on the US spec 89's.

I've seen 3-4 90 944t in Australia(under 20 were imported), but none of them had the M030, I think most of them didn't for some reason, its worth it too if you want a road car, you can put the bridge spoiler on an '89

Extra cost option in 1990. The larger 928S4 front brakes were part of the M030 option package. Standard wheels were the cast Design 90's, not the similar-looking but forged Club Sports, although they did gain a half inch width up front (7.5x16F/9x16R.)

The 928 S4 front brakes were standard for 1990/91.
The standard D90 rims were the same as those from the 1990/91 928 S4 & GT, only without RDK sensors.

the 928 s4 brakes were not standard for the 90/91 models, as waterguy said they where part of the m030 option. all the 90/91 models we have seen have not had the m030 and so do not have the bigger s4 brakes. they were definatly an option for australia

Thanks Guys - mine is an 90 model, Australian delivered, build date Nov 89. I think the M030 suspension was installed by the dealer pre-delivery - so it appears the M030 option did not come out as standard on these cars. It has adjustable konis up front. It also has the bridge (wing) spolier on the rear hatch.

Any way of easily identifying the M030 components? I will need to get under the car and check out some part numbers I presume.

Mine is a '90 model; has s4 brakes but no M030 suspension, design 90 wheels (7.5" and 9") and bridge spoiler.
M030 suspension is yellow koni dampers with height adjustible springs up front.

According to PET 928S4 brakes were part of the M758 package ('88 turbo S package) and then became standard for turbo models from '89->
M030 was also part of the M758 package but was an option for all other turbos.

If it is not on the options sticker in manual/inside rear it wouldn't be fitted,it is not something the dealer would do, it is a bigger job than the extra stop light or what.Bridge spoiler is standard for '90.

Well, I do not know about cars sold on the Australian market, but the S4 front brakes were definitely standard on Euro 90/91 models.

What were the standard wheels on 90/91 Australian cars ?

Was the M030 suspension standard on the 1990 model Turbo 944, or was it an extra cost option?
Don't know how it was in Australia, but in Europe M030 suspension was an extra cost option both 1990 and 1991 models. 928 S4 brakes were standard. I suppose they were standard also in Australia, i have never seen a 250hp car with some other brakes and i doupt factory has installed some other brakes than S4 ones.

Okay, I went back and checked my sources, and found that I confused the 944S2 with the 951.

M030 and big brakes were standard on the 88 Turbo S and 89 Turbo.

M030 was extra cost option on the 90 and 91 Turbo, 928S4 brakes were standard.

928S4 front brakes were part of the M030 option package on all years of 944S2. Sorry, my bad.

M030 and big brakes were standard on the 88 Turbo S and 89 Turbo.
And S4 brakes were standard also on 1990 & 1991 951's, while M030 (suspension) was an option
