Are you sure 1989 S2 with M030 featured the S4 front brakes as well ?
PET indicates the S4 front brakes were fitted for 1990/91 only, and the only two S2s I saw with M030 were 90 and 91 cars, so I keep wondering ...

91' you lucky bastard. i wish i had a 91' model. great colour too. you have the m030 option. only the 968 clubsport came with the rear coilover.i think from memory you should have a 27mm sway bar up front and a 17 at the rear. correct me if im wrong on that.i upgraded to the 968 m030 of 30mm on the front and 19 adjustable on the rear

that means your car is right hand drive, as would be the case with all 952's.

26.8 mm front and 16 mm rear for the 90/91 951 (M030 or not, a-arms are also the same with or without M030 on these MY, etc..)
26.8 mm front and 18 mm rear for the 88 951S & 89 951 (M030 standard) and the 16 mm rear swaybar at the end of MY89

Rear coilover is only on genuine 944 Turbo Cup and 968 with M030 (no matter it is ClubSport or not, and ClubSport have no M030 standard, neither M220, etc...)

Hello Seb,

Why did you sell your 91 944 turbo, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi all,

According to the 1990 UK price/spec list, the MO30 was optional. However, the option was for the Koni adjustable dampers only; everything else with regard to brakes, hubs, ARBs etc. was as per the 1989 model.

My 1990 came without the Konis but were added later. Everything else is identical to the '89, except for the rear calipers that have 'flat' Porsche lettering as opposed to raised lettering; still present on the front calipers.

Adam.

Yes spring rates were the same, brakes were the same, gearbox was the same, just the dampers were the cheaper fixed units at a rate slightly stiffer than the softest koni settings. IIRC the workshop manual states the adjustment in the konis was to cover wear. 1990 got the bridge spoiler, standard leather and AC, 10 speaker may have been included (dont remember seeing one without) Price was over £40K (roughly USD74K) in the UK, they didn't sell many in the last few years.

Oh and the last s2's also had decal type lettering on the rear calipers and could have (90 on) turbo brakes and suspension as an option(MO31?) - wonder if any did?

On my 1991 951 (german, not sold anymore in France neither USA), rear AND front brakes have decal type lettering. Leather and 10 speakers are still an option even in 1991... Bridge spoiler is standard on 1990/1991 951 and 1991 944 S2. Rear seats (upper part) divided in two parts is also standard for 1991 MY (951 and S2). And there are a lot of small modifications from year to year... as the hole in rear window (diameter changed, wiper motor changed also), etc...
AC, 928 S4 brakes, central locking, ABS, etc.. are standard on ALL 250 bhp 951 (1988 Turbo S and 1989/90/91 951)
