Default Max Speed of a rental car

I just thought everyone here may see the same humor in this that I do. I just had this little rental car (an Audi A3 S-line) that had a sticker in it saying that the speed needed to be kept down.

The nerve of the these people wanting me to saty below 130mph......

Actually thought i never had it above about 90kmh. I was in the city the whole week. However, the first rental car as an A4 Avant S-line with decent tires. It was a 2.0 TDI. Fast little car for a diesel. I drove between stuttgart and munich on a sunday. The roads were open and managed to cruise between 180 and 200 most of the way and for a brief time saw 220kmh (136mph). Not too bad for a little 2.0L diesel.

Be careful - a lot of those rentals have transponders in them now. . .

Looking at the scale and km/h on that sticker ...
A.They don't care what you do in MPH
B.They don't expect you to notice that sticker...

...and this is forum related how??? .. Oh! 253 posts and you still can't cut loose with the $$$ to contribute to Renn, so you post your OT junk here.

And people ask why Renn isn't the same.

Did Dana screw your girlfriend or something? Jeez there's another poster in the same link who isn't an "official" Rennlister either but has probably contributed more to most members than we dare mention.

Dana,
Skip a meal in France and buy a membership

Testa,

Hahaha, that's was so freaking funny that I spilled coffee all over my screen.

DanaT has made a lot of technical contributions to rennlist. The 951 forum unlike the other rennlist forums is like a big family, a lot of guys feel comfortable posting OT here because the real OT forum is so corrupted by the shamu’s (IX_XX_VIII) crowd. Besides that Dana deserves to be respected as the lady that she is.

Sorry to have offened everyone with no membership.

Maybe some of you preachers should go way back and look at the history. You all-mighty ones, how long have you actually been part of this community? Were you part of it before it was rennlist? Ya know when it was"porschelist" and JD had to change the name because of legal action was being sought? Oh yeah, you probably couldn't work a UNIX system to get to the damn thing. Maybe you should go way bacck and see how the whole transition from porschelist to rennlist occured. Maybe look at what JD offered the existing members.

So before blasting me, maybe you should go find some history out.....

Skipping a meal is France is easy. I have never been there and will avoid trying to go there.

I wasn't "blasting" by the way. Just a yoke....just a yoke.

Actually the food in France is awesome, just expensive and I always feel hungry there.

The hood vent has been cut, I just haven't got it finished up. My air compressor broke so my die grinder doesn't work. I have been in Germany as much as the US lately so I haven't had much time. Any time I have had, the wife expects me to do honey-dos..
