Yes, ITB, solid lifters and a "few" other special stuff

Someone asked about the lines on top of cam housing. I would suspect vents similar to crankcase vents but I could be wrong.

probably lifter squirters being that they're banjo'd with that small of a line. My ex-nextel cup motor in my mustang has squirters in the valve covers fed by the drysump to cool and lube the rockers and springs

The Flux Capacitor. Strangely enough, the 924 GTR's were actually slower because of this. The top speed had to be limited to 87mph, well, because we all know what happens at 88mph.

Good luck trying to find some 924 rod bearings or a gasket set in the '50s!

I was at RennSport Reunion 2 too... Probably standing right next to you... Most of the pictures I got, are the same as those posted. Never got to see it with body work on. Did get to see some other interesting 4 cylinder cars though...

That's the 16 valve out of the Boss 924 GTP car not the GTR. This is the one that debut at Le Mans.

Well chris is against some of the coatings i wanted to use because of their ability to look crappy after awhile...but I think we can do some cool stuff with the Calico guys on the head, headers and some other parts.

"Build it and they will come!" It can be done with some of the Calico Coatings. They will make some speciality stuff if you like.

I can't find the website where I found that picture for reference. Here is a larger bitmap picture converted to .jpg that shows more of the engine bay shows the completely tube frame.

Here the Boss 924 has the regular engine bay and shock towers.

Also the Boss car would have turbocharging where this one has webers? I think this was an early engine for the GTR.

The 16 valve head debuted at LeMans in 81, the 944 GTRs all had 8 valve heads. The Boss car had to be related to its road going brothers but in the SCCA a full tube frame could be used, but like I said none of the 944s in the SCCA series had the 16 valve motor. Not to mention that the 944 GTRs had double A arm suspension systems not conventional struts like you see on the car with the 16 valve head.

Also the engine bay tube frame was much different. See below:
