Corleone, I have talked to a guy local that I trust and he is suggesting the GT35R with .68 housing... I am thinking that could be the way to go...

Andrew,

Better choice is to go with GT30 turbine in .68 hot housing
with GT35R cold side.

I dont think you can config that... basically the only choice you get is the exhaust housing a/r!

I am really confident the GT35R in .68 is the way to go.

PS what are people using for lb/min on compressor maps these days? Around 32lbs?

PS will the T04S cover fit under the stock manifold?

..what the xxx is going on... I could swear I replied here an hour ago..
anyway...

How about a GT3040R? I think it might be what your are looking for... it uses the big 40-compressor found in the GT35 but with the smaller turbine wheel of the 30. IMHO I think it would work very well for higher boost applications on our engines.

Andrew, like the TO4S GT25 that I'm using, besides
making a turbo mount, there will be a need to cut
of part of the engine mount as well. Since you no
longer have AC, you should not have clearence
problem with the alternator. Unless if the alternator
is still in the original spot you who then have to
reposition it.

IMO- For a 2.5L with stock internals and no modifications to the head or block, the GT30R is probably the right choice for quick spool and impressive HP. The Gt35R for 2.7L + or head mods.

I dont actually know anyone using a GT35R... I would not mind being the first to find out what its like! Worst comes to worst, I can just sell it. My car is not quite stock, and I think I have enough gas to push the wheel.

Duke, I thought the GT30/40 had a smaller turbine also?

Sorry Duke, I meant compressor...

I just spoke with Tim at SFR... I just need to determine if I go E or S cover now... all depends if I can get my *** into gear and sort a manifold.

Quote by Corleone...
"I can say if you have 500 crank hp in our cars it is a lot, it is a huge difference than having 350 (which is a lot easier). There has been a lot of inflation in hp talking, how many of us have tried a well tuned 951 with a driveable 500 hp? Its really a lot and its a very fast car. Here in Sweden many talks of their hp´s and when they go to the dyno its often a lot less power than they expected and there is also a lot of dynos that dont are calibrated and makes this even worse. The thing is to have that amount of power that you want with so little in boost as possible and with good timing advance."

I have well over 500 hp and my car drives and idles better than stock and just passed emissions today without a cat.

So Machtig. Are you going with the T4 Turbine with the V-band?

I'm new. Sorry for the interruption. I know you don't know me, but I sell a lot of Turbos. I work in a performance shop in Houston. I just bought my 951 a few months ago. And I plan on using the GT35R.

I can't wait to see your results.

One last thing.. 12,418 posts? ..... Damn..... ......

Yup I am getting the V band option. www.speedforceracing.com sell a 3" downpipe to mate it bolt on to the outlet.

What config GT35R are you thinking? .63? What cover?

The S cover wont fit under the stock manifold, the E cover will... though that means going from 4" intlet and 2.5 outlet to 3" inlet and 2" outlet...
