I am with David, about time! It taks a big man to come in a public forum and replace existing Lindsey Racing parts for Vitesse ones. Now Vitesse is finally on board, lets se what it can really do!

Rob,

Lindsey built you a hell of an engine!! It will be interesting to see the results when Vitesse finishes the project that they started.

Before we all get excited... Let's keep this on a positive note, and not make it into something it's not...

This project is a 2 phase project.
1) The first issue is to address the engine management. Rob wanted to run: large injectors 83# vs. the 55# on the car, a MAF to flow lots of power, and wanted factory like drivability even when the A/C is on. Smooth idle, and crisp response.
- This work is fairly complete, the car is running with 83# injectors and is very smooth (according to ST). Of course Rob will be able to tell the before and after. With the new software, it's a plug&play out of the box. The SMT6 is for fine tuning only if needed.

2) Stage 2 of this project involves performance mods. More on this when a firm decision is made.

As far as what performance the car makes or will make remains to be seen. A baseline dyno run will be taken and subsequent changes will be measured on the "same" dyno..

Are you trying to set a world record for the most HP in a 944. That's a great looking machine. Better have them install an ejection seat !

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments. But as I said, none of my goals will be possible without the Vitesse Racing Products - I firmly believe this. And of course, having Special Tool and his wisdom is the best around! We'll just take one step at a time and see how things progress. We'll analyze everything as we progress. First things are first. We need to finalize the EMS part of this project. Then, once I confirm with John on the turbo, then we will move onto that phase. As I said, just one step at a time. We will keep everyone updated. And when I get a chance, I take some pics of the progress and upload them on my web site.

Oh ****! good bye 460, hello 560!

Good for you Rob. Good luck with it all. If anyone can, those two can get you where you want to go. With all of the time and money you've put in this, I'm glad you're going that extra couple of steps. I'd hate to see you wondering "What IF?".

CERVANTES! PAGING JOE CERVANTES! lol

Cheers man. Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

better watch out. He may just decide to knock back. lol Now we're talking. If he hooks up with the same group, that 16 valve will be beyond catchable.

What you say is very true about a 16V, no doubt that. But Scott Gomes has built some monster 8Vs, so it shows it can be done. How much power does one need? Where is the cut-off? 550, 600, 650, etc? LOL. Also, I'm not sure if Joe wants to invest more money into that already $200K 951 of his?

testarossa_td: I need a new custom avatar pal, the one I have is old news!

Good luck, Rob. I had lunch with Elliott today and got the lowdown before I even saw this thread. I'll be excitedly watching this one
