Thats a good point Joe, Lindsey dont do the head work on the heads they offer, its outsourced, like the cams, and most every other part. They are more a parts on seller than the builder.

I actually tried posting a legitimate post after the first few were deleted on Lindsey Racings forum with those questions. Not amazed, but every post has been deleted by everyone who contributed except Daves post saying the car is perfect. I thought you may shed some light... no big deal, I was just curious as some things I can make sense of as I posted...

Regardless of what ever one else thinks, 460+whp is a killer number @ 18psi......

Taking it to the next level, one step at a time, it is all up tp Rob. After all, it is HIS car and HIS money, he obviously wants nothing but THE best. Hence, why he approched Lindsey Racing and Vitesse Racing.

I am just not sure which Turbo to go with as Powerhaus custom makes each one, hence the price. They blow extremely hard.
Joe: One, you have to see ST's shop dude. See if he will take some photos. It's insane. Two, as far as turbos are concerned, I think you should "seriously" talk to John @ VR about what you're looking to do. I can't speak from my own personal experience, yet, but I will be soon enough. Do a search and see how many people, countless people, rave about his turbos. I'm not kidding. Do yourself a favor, and do alot of research, then call the man himself. That's what I did, as I said in the beginning of my thread.

And watch out pal, I just may beat that 479 RWHP of yours, I hope!

I hope you do beat it as it will be short lived. I've talked with ST and VT and Powerhaus as well. Lindsey took your car as far as they could. Powerhaus left mine with a ton more power to be made. Make sure you do the dyno on a load as I am over 500 on an inertia dyno like a dynojet. Also, I'm going to definitely take your advise seriously about Johns Turbo's but as I said I have a K29 but it blows much more air faster and harder with more volume than a standard K29. Powerhaus engines are all over the race tracks kickin' ***, but I will see.

I don't have time to read this ENTIRE thread, but let's keep it friendly.

I have to run out the door, but will be back in a few hours to delete some posts. Do yourself a favor now and delete your posts bashing a certain vendor before this thread gets a one way ticket to The Abyss. You know who you are.

OK Lart knock it off. I am getting complaints from my office of a guy by the name of Luis calling for male entertainers. So as soon as you lay off my phone lines I can concentrate on more girls. Also, those guys in the pic look like lght to middle weights. I think Rob would agree we are a bit bigger than that. I may be close to light heavy weight but definitely bigger than that. Who's who in the pics?

Dfastest: Are you running a stand alone engine management system? It would seem to me that yourself, Rolex and Special Tool are at the level where something like a Motec would be beneficiary.

Rolex/ST/etc: Is everyone here using a full stand alone or is it all chips and piggybacks? I know that Rage is using an SDS system with success but I don't know of anyone else who is. Is it because the triggering conversion is troubling (ie: magnets on flywheel, etc)? I had a link to some guys on the web that had a really nice crank trigger set up for a 951 but I don't know if they are making it any more.

I can speak for ST and Rolex in that they are both running the Vitesse motronic. There are a lot of reasons to use the standalone, but the way John has the software engineered, those reasons are becoming fewer and fewer. He is about to release the wasted spark setup, and he has a few other tricks in the bag. (Sorry, I have been sworn to secrecy!)

Default 1st Datalog

I just received the 1st datalog after ST installed John's goodies on my car. All I can say is wow!. Right out of the box, with zero tuning, the damn thing was 95-97% of the money!

John, you're not playing around with these chips of yours. You told me out of the box they would be in that range, and you weren't kidding. You are a man of your word.
