That's where Alch/W injection comes in. Properly set up Wi system can cool the intake charge 40-60%.
Charge's cool enough...

I still think there are some advantages to WI, even with a suitably efficient turbo and IC... we shall see :P

I agree. I think the IC is a problem nobody addresses.

Evil,

Even though we hate eachother with the power of a million suns... you are so right. I think its because people see guys with 400+WHP and think "its not a restriction till xxxWHP". Well its the wrong way to look at it. Though Goldrats theory of constraints can apply to modding, its not a perfect way to apply it. The problem is that there are not many cost effective IC solutions out there. The end tank mod appears to work for some (though I have not seen any reliable data on it i.e. flow or dyno chart). I think the SFR solution maybe worth investing it, nice and bolt on, though $1000 seems steep... I am guessing with a little less pressure drop, and cooler and more dense air getting through, a 5% gain in WHP in higher boost levels could easily be seen.

Hell the ricer crowd typically do the IC first... I thnk partly for looks, but they always boast great gains from an IC change...

Come on now, Just because we don't agree on some stuff doesn't mean I hate you. Thats far from true..

As far as the IC, I have seen before and after dyno charts with 40rwhp gains going from a welded double stock IC to a custum FM IC. Same boost levels.

I think SFR's kit is good but its a nice "drop in" kit. You should be a little more creative and fit a larger one in there. A little cutting etc.., may be required.

I think we must be the only turbo board that doesn't change the IC.

Evil,
I agree with you that an FMIC is the way to go.
assuming that we have a FMIC with the same
core mass & surface area, by virtue of the FMIC's
thinner core & more upright surface area, the cooling
effeciency will be much better than the stock unit at
speed.
