Default New Tow Hook from KLA Industries

KLA Industries is introducing a new tow hook and mount for car not having either front or rear tow capability. The tow hook mount is designed to mount behind the bumper (front or rear) and bolts to the bumper. When you need to tow or tie down you car, you screw the steel hook into the receiver and your ready to go.

To mount the assembly requires drilling three holes in the bumper. Two holes are for the mounting screws (supplied with the mount) and one is for the tow hook. Never tow a car again my wrapping a chain to the expensive suspension on your car.

That's cool. Do you have any pics of it installed?

Ken,

Out of curiosity, have you verified the rear bumper is strong enough to be pulled by your tow block without damage? I'm concerned about being stuck in a gravel trap at the track and putting a lot of force on the bumper.

I'll have to take some. Installed it looks very close to the factory mount. From the front you will see the screw heads (Painted to match the car color) and the receiver hole.

The factory has installed them on the bumpers of some cars with no problem. We have two types of tow hooks. If you are concerned about the bumper tow hook you can use the tie downs that screw to the under body in the factory tie down locations. The are also at www.klaindustries.net under the rear tow point.

Yes, at least between the Hurricanes. I have a house on the beach (100 yards off the gulf) on Pensacola beach. Got whacked by Hurricanes Ivan and Dennis. Other than that having a fun time here. I walk to the gulf to fish and drink bushwhackers on the sound side at night.

Life isn't too bad.

Just wondering....

Most of the tow eyes or rings usually get "hooked" from the tow truck with a chain and hook - quick and secure. How does that sound?
