Default In search of a 951 to buy!

Well, my car just sold and I'm in the market for a 951. I'm not set on a price range as the quality of the car and it's history will dictate that. I'm OK with doing mechanical work but don't want body work, I hate sanding. Not set on a color but would prefer red or black, interior cannot be red! Would like to find one in neighboring states close to Oklahoma but open to paying for shipping the right car. Not much to ask, is it?

Thanks in advance!
Chuck.

I might sell mine. I'm in Denver. 87, guards red w/ blk leather. EXTREMELY nice car. all records, I'm 3rd owner. always a denver car. I bought it from a PCA guy who owned it for 9 years. he also owns a 930 and was fanatical about maintanence. It has new clutch 30K ago, new belts 20K ago. it is near perfect. Everything works as it should. I drive it a few times a week (nice weather only). Would drive it cross country w/o hesitation, 125K but looks/drives like 40K. Not a "low-end" car or price. If interested, we can talk and I can send some more pics.

Where'd you get those gauge cluster rings? Those look very nice.

I've got a super trick, extremely nice red on black '86 951 that it about to be for sale...

An almost new 2.8L engine, sleeved with JE pistons, Pauter rods (balance shaft delete) with a stock head (but with John Milledge cam, race valve springs, and titanium retainers), SFR stage 2 321 merge collected header, a 60-1Hifi/T04 .58 a/r "O" trim full Garrett with an Innovative Turbo Dual Ball Bearing Center Section all V Banded to the SFR full 3" 304 stainless exhaust system, 72lbs injectors, Pro-M fuel controller with a 75mm Lindsey Bullet MAF, new everything under the hood... including the Lindsey 3 piece cross over with a new power steering rack/hoses!

Brand new Bilstein Escort Series coil overs front/rear & camber plates, with torsion bars removed and brand new Weltmeister sway bars front/rear installed!

AEM wideband and Autometer boost gauge installed in dual pod A pillar gauge pod.

Seats have just been recovered... and are in "as new" condition as is the rest of the car.

Also have '88 suspension ready to be installed...(control arms, trailing arms, axle shafts, etc...)

Paint is a 10, interior is a 10.

Nice 996 rims/tires. Stock '86 brakes.

The car is in my garage right now with the head off. You can see the condition of the cylinders (they are perfect) and you can see the condition of the head, etc..... all extremely excellent condition...

$25k and worth every penny.....

If you want to skip all the BS in buying and building a 951... this is the car.

No excuses...

I agree. The guage cluster rings eliminate the need to white-face the guages, and it looks like present-day Porsche cluster.

Ebay all day. There are SS and ALU and different bevels from different MFR's.
I got mine for $24 from Germany.

CanyonBlaster, do you have any more interior pics of the carbon fiber dash stuff?

I've always wanted to see how that actually looks in a 944

Description Below. I have almost all the receipts and a lot of work has been done to this car. Its not perfect, but it is nice, clean and runs very strong.

Wow! Lots of NICE cars. Anyone a little closer? I've decided it's probably best to see them in person. Driving to look at one Sunday!

CanyonBlaster, sent you mail!

Chuck.
