i have a chance to get my hands on a low milage open end diff 951 tranny. It comes out of a 87' and i have a 86'. Are there any differences between the two years? or will the 87' bolt right in.

The only diffrence is it might have an external oil cooler. I don't know if the 86's did or not. Otherwise, it'll bolt right up.

ok cool. Mine has a oil cooler on it now so i should be good to go. I just wanted to make sure the hubs were not different.

the hub's are diffrent

but no diffrences where the cv's connect to the tranny.
