Yep, Mr. Slowsky here. The car was running great with the old motor until a few months ago when I pulled it for this one. As for plating, I think I have a plating problem... but its such a great way to make old greasy parts look brand spanking new with virtually no effort!
He drilled the rivets on the hood clasp and did the turbo oil line too!
I am starting to worry about you again, Tom.
You have good reason to worry, but the hood clasp is a spare I picked up along the way, as is the light bar. My plater will do just about any size batch for his min price ($65), so I took him just about every spare part I own -- including a sizeable collection of nuts and bolts, clamps, etc.
I've been eyeing that clasp -- how hard could it be to pop rivet in a new one...?
Wow thats incredible. Is this going to be a show car?
Not at all -- definitely a driver. The plating is a cheap way to pass time while I wait for parts. I had an 85 911 that I took to local shows -- spent all my time cleaning the darn thing. I bought the 951 to drive.
