Ed, I really don't know much about these platings. I just saw that on Burbank's website. What are you trying to achieve exactly? Is this primarily for cosmetic purposes?

In truth
I was trying to make it look like new ( stock ) but I was orig thinking...
Make it last forever .. then I said to myself forever ... It lasted 17 yrs and looked
good I hope I am around another 17 yrs ... ( but I am giving this to my son..)
I was told the Cad will look nothing like the zinc much flatterand darker
then I was told, "yes it can depending on
how much yellow cromate you put in" ... WTFK ...
I settled on stock look .. I think :-)
Regards
Ed

Hey Raj
I tell you what, You be the judge ....
If you approve .. I can give you a lot of dirt on the subject ...
I had to kind of had to go it alone, as most people really didn't know much on the subject..
So, I sort of figured it out as I went along
I also learned that there are a boat load of diff platers and how they plate. I got really lucky, I found a guy that I could trust and also does great work .. and was very competitive in his pricing...
You may say trust what do I mean .. When you give some guy 300 different parts from your car and you just spent months clean polishing and categorizing them. You pray to GOD, they don't lose your stuff...
They lost one tiny bolt !!
Best regards
Ed

SchnellerUmsetzer Wow,
This looks tight.
This looks tight.
SamGrant951 thats incredible.
Sam
I took some of Tom M'Guinn's old dirty parts that he had in a plastic garbage bag and threw on some simple green and hit them with a power washer, then gave them to the plater. I have the before pics but not the after .. Maybe Tom has the after pics ... It was really amazing how they turned out ..
In fact, I was wondering if I went a little too far on the cleaning, wheeling and polishing to a high luster shine
every, nut bolt washer and bracket and pipe and I mean every.
Mike Murcia Ed, have you installed any of those bits yet? Hopefully they are not still sitting there from the first time you showed them to me!
You know me well enough....
That's the most rhetorical question I have ever heard ...
Of course they aren't on the car ...
In fact, I have another round to take to the plater.
Right after I get them back, I am going to check myself into the nearest psychiatric ward
Sadly, I am out of my mind .. I am a lost cause ...
And its all your fault Mike ..
You were the one who got me started on this crack( I mean polishing )
