No, I did not call you a moron as you are not a professional mechanic.
The reason I called your mechanic a moron is simply because he is a professional. As a professional, this simple task should not get botched. I am not even certain how he could have installed it that way with our cars. Was he familiar with 944s? I would seriously question his skills.

The other examples posted where the camber plate is installed on top is for cars that have stock shock mounts on top as well. The tops of our shock towers aren't even close to flat. Take a lock at ridge around the opening:



How would you tighten it down? I stand by my comment that he is a moron.

When you say "throw the bolt", do you mean it backed out and fell out or do you mean it sheared or snapped?

Oh man that sucks! I am about to buy some plates, hope my ground control ones dont snap!
