The SMT6 will continue to be part of each kit. It will not be needed as much as before, but still needed to fine tune things 100%.

John, I`m on it! My head is at a machineworkshop for solving the problems with the valves. I hope he`ll be ready with the head this week! I`m hoping for some nice numbers when I i get the head installed!

John, could I ask what valvesize you`re using in the bigvalve head? Or is this something you dont want to give out? (exhaust and intake valves)

I dropped the thottle a little early - probably had another 10 horse, or so. I like to be easy on the equipment.

I will be going to the dynojet in a couple weeks - I am not really worried about seeing a 500+ RWHP dynojet number, now. Should be a stroll by the lake.
Jesus, those are some sick numbers there ST! Great job!! Now go and break that 500RWHP and raise the bar

The other thing I'd love to see with this would be some durability testing. Particularly with valves that are so large & heavy. I'd love to see leakdown #'s and valve guide / seat data after running the head at redline or nearly so (6,000 RPM +) for like 72 straight hours or something similarly brutal. I'm already sold on it as a great high-flow, high power head, but if it could be proven as a high-reliability, high-flow, high-power head, it'd be worth all the more.

The valves weight was addressed early on, not to worry. As far as testing, well, I have been using a large valves head on my race car for a while now. Still purrs same as day one (many track days and dyno torture ).

As far as the valve sizes, well there is more involved than just the size!!!

Vitesse is the best. Who else can pull this kind of power out of a 2.5 with such little $$. (I say little compared to everything else out there. . .)

Okay, special tool, how long did it take for your 3.0 8 valve to get built, before you could run these kind of numbers?
