OT: Cayenne World Record
The Sportec SUV SP600M hit 308 km/h (192.5 mph) on March 10 to break the world record as the fastest SUV. It also goes 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. The record speed was recorded on a circular track which is also much more impressive than a straight line type test. Pretty impressive for this well-tuned SUV.

impressive...but
In response to what Porsch-O-Phile said: Personally I've never cared for the Cayenne that much. I've been up close and personal with the Turbo, since the CEO of my company lets me drive it on occasion and it is impressive in many ways, but when I drive an SUV I want to tower above other drivers, have enough ground clearance to be able to go offroad and enough cargo area to double as a small truck. That's why my current SUV is a LandCruiser. They are rock solid with a long history to boot. I can't blame Porsche for creating the Cayenne since there's obviously a market for it. It's just not my cup of tea.
Sincerely,
Rick

Rick:
I saw the promo/testing video for the Cayanne. I would put it up against any other SUV for it's off road capabilities as well.
It handled the rock climbing test, full throttle ut in the desert and the artic, etc.

Nope, your right!!
"SUV" don't let that label throw you.
Think of it as a 600+ hp car, that does 0-60 in about 4 sec and can almost hit 200mph...oh and it can go in the sand, snow and all kinds of terrain.
