200# or 250# front springs on Street?
Does anyone have 200# or 250# front springs on their 951? I am considering one of these two spring rates for my '87 951 that I use only on the street, but I don't want the ride to be too harsh for the poor roads here in Pennsylvania.
I am getting 400hp from my car and it does squat quite a bit with the stock rear torsion bars, which I will be upgrading at the same time.\
Anyone have an opinion on either spring rate?

If you are doing the tbars then go to 250. It is not what I call harsh but I am a little on the crazy side.

It is a tad of a problem, since our rouds are screwed up and the government isn't planning on fixing much of the roads, thus the test-pipe is getting a nice contact with the asphalt from time to time. This is normal (to me), since when going over speed bumps, i take it diagonally (making the rear wheels touch the hump) before i straighten the car out.
I can take pics if you like.....

I have the 200# springs and the M030 sway bars. I don't consider it harsh and wonder what the 250#s would be like. The springs did lower my car below the minum height for PCA DE events and I failed inspection until I got the spacers. Something to consider if you want to do DE.

would be happy to check the records. Don didnt get a chance to really look at them. My records show upgraded and a disclaimer...Don just looked and them and could tell they werent stock. So how upgraded I dont know...just know they arent stock. The suspension is real stiff but, setup very well. It rebounds very steadily and comes back instantly. I never bottem out anywhere...and steep inclines arent much of a problem. It really doesnt flex at all.
Any quick way to tell how much bigger mine torsion is than stock? If you guys tell me how I would be happy to go out tomorrow take some pics and do some research.
Todd Upchurch and his brother were the ones that set this car up. They were the ones racing it at VIR.
