Default clutch pedal won't come off the floor

it's happened twice now
I have to take my foot and pull it back up from behind.
?????

Am I low on fluid or is the clutch going out or what?

Or you have a leak in the clutch line (this happened to my ex-GF's car).

if you change either the master/slave, be sure to change the other one too.

try bleeding your clutch fluid, can be air in the system or your fluid is too old to cope when hot.

Hey;

If you let the fluid get low, you might have sucked air... if you're lucky. If not, look under the driver's dash and see if the carpet is soaked with a fluid that is bitter to the taste. You blew the master. If it's dry under there, you blew the slave. The cylinders usually do not come and go, so you might have sucked air. Have fun bleeding it.

If not, get it fixed or it will strand you!!

I had the same problem and it persisted even after getting a new master and slave cyliner. It turned out to be a line between the cylinders that was a dealer only part because it was a combo rubber and metal piece.

I took an old clutch line to a local hose guy and he made a new SS line using the old ends for like $30.

More than likely it's the master and/or slave cylinder. In my case it was the master, which is a bit of a PITA to remove. I ended up using a long extension, a wobble and some, uh, 'colorful' language. More tedious than difficult. I also replaced the slave while I was at it.

The biggest trick is getting the system bled. Jack the rear of the car up as high as you can safely get it to help the bubbles return to their rightful home in the atmosphere and tap (ok bang) the slave cylinder with gusto to help the little buggers escape as well.

HTH,

Hey i hate to be the bearer of bad news here. I am having the EXACT same problem right now and its not my slave nor my master. Its actualy my clutch. So $1700CAD later problem solved. THe key is how did you notice it? Just turned the car on one day and it was like that? Because if so then they are right its your fluids. If it happend over time its your fluids. If it happend like mine driving it and then BOOOM clutch just smashes to the bottom and you cant shift anymore thats a broken clutch set-up right there.
