Best vacuum line for Laust's new VM
For those who have already installed Laust's vacuum manifold, which vacuum lines are you happy with, in terms of best fit, etc.?
Sources and prices?
Any vacuum lines to avoid, with this particular application?

I used the vacuum lines from MySwiss' venturi delete kit, fits real nice onto it. I'm happy with it.
NZ should be here anyminute to preach samco. Probably rightfully so.

Has anybody tried the Mercedes vacuum line that Laust recommends?
How about Samco?
Any internet sources to recommend? I cannot seem to find either locally.
And, how many linear feet of this vacuum line is needed for Laust's VM application?

I've got Lindsey ones on mine right now, but I'm about to do a total hose upgrade to samco. I'll keep people posted.
For Samco, try www.samcosport.com , and have a look in their distributor page I think there's a link there.
IIRC, Lindsey's kit is 15 feet, which is plenty for the whole engine bay

I went to the source, Purosil. The cost was half of anything out there but starting Mar 1 the minium order requirement went through the roof.

mmm.. someone needs to send our hard pipes/jboot and other various hoses to samco for a nice group buy.. I'm sure if we had 10-15 people signed up for the whole kit, they'd replicate the parts for us... those things look nice... (somewhat ricey, but very nice )

I got my hose from www.hosetecniques.com. If you compare it to the stuff in Lindsey's kit its almost comical. The hose tecnique stuff is almost double the wall thickness compared to what everyone else sells.(I got the 3.5mm size)

I ordered and received vacuum hose from High Temp Silicone http://www.hightempsilicone.com/. They also sell on eBay - shipping worked out to be a bit less ordering via eBay.
It arrived the other day and looks great... quality stuff. I haven't installed it yet, but Tb311 did recently and had nothing but good things to say about it: https://rennlist.com/forums/944-turbo-and-turbo-s-forum/191743-vacuum-lines-installed.html
I got 4mm and 6mm red. Should tie in nicely with my red spark plug wires

In that case I admit that NZ951 is right. Those hoses with 2mm walls from LR are indeed a concern. 8 bar is for woosies. You should at least run 14.7 bar.

Rob,
I think you misread my post. The Hose Tecniques stuff is the way to go. The lindsey stuff is too thin and I can make it swell pretty well by pressurizing it with 15psi. For me....well I run a conservative 120psi on street gas. :-)
