I have a 1989 that I purchased that had Autothority chips installed. I would like to add a manuel boost controller. Ineed to replace the rejetted banjo bolt with a stock one. Does anyone have the part number and know where to order one. If anyone has a used boost controller, I would be interested. Any suggestions on which is best (Lindsey, Reliaboost, etc)?
Thanks,
Dave

Just take the jet out of the AA banjo. Take the banjo out and look in it - there'll be a little jet screwed in there. Unscrew that with a flathead screwdriver, and you have a normal stock banjo. As for an MBC, I'd recommend the Boost Sciences AccuBoost.

Are you planning on installing different chips to go with the MBC? APE chips are not mapped for the boost curve you get with an MBC. This is why they have a reputation of running rich in the mid range and lean on the top end. They are mapped for a boost spike in the mid range (from the effect of the jetted banjo), then for a decreasing boost level at higher rpm (when the cycling valve starts bleeding exhaust pressure off through the waste gate). MBC create a generally flat boost curve and should have chips mapped for that curve.
Just something to consider or look into.
