I actually missed Rennsport. Was in the Keys, so not a real bad trade off.

I saw there are a lot of big names racing this year.

Check out my trend in the other forum. https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...4&page=1&pp=15

I will be posting my contact information closer to the race date if anyone cares they can contact me chat or what know. I won't have the 951 will be driving a mini-van and sleeping in it. It will sure beat sleeping in the 951.

Oh man, my wife and I will arrive in Sarasota @ 10:00 pm on Saturday. I don't think there are enough diamonds to give her to make it okay to drive 3 hours in wee morning on Sunday to see the finish.....

Man... Note to self... Always check the racing schedules when traveling to locations where a great track is located....

Not far from where I'm at. Hopefully it won't rain this year as last year was really bad. They had to stop the race for the rain and these aren't nascar guys that the first drop of rain will delay the race. There was rivers of water on the track.

I just read the cross post. I might go. It wil depend on a few things. Easy trip from here. BTW todd, if you and your buddies come up to J'ville for the Bowl, you should come uo A1A. It's a beautiful drive. It will take about 45 min extra to get to the stadium that way, but thats a great part of the coast.

Ehall: Cool idea. Nice scenic drive.

ANyone read the part that if you pay 20$ you can take your car on the track Fri morning???

Too bad it wasn't Sat.

I will probably only do the grandstand pass. Anyone else?? Any infield passers I will just keep waving and making a fool of my self in the stands until you all see me

Or until my wife yells at me, which ever comes first.

Yeah the bad weather is here now. For the sake of Jacksonville, which is soon to be the laughing stock Super Bowl City of ALL TIME, I hope it stays away. Alltel is a great venue for football, but I live in a city full of ignorant rednecks. (not all, obviously, but enough to influence almost everything regarding functions and standards of daily life.) Daytona should be perfect temp for the race. Easy on engines as well. I bet it never goes over 75 deg. I'm still working out details myself. I'll let ya know.

I'm planning to head up there tomorrow, but I've never been there before. Can puirchase an infield ticket when I get there or do I need to order them online and have them ready for me at will call.
