Purchasing Fikse wheels
I'm going to be purchasing Fikse wheels in the near future, and I was wondering if any of you have a preference for any. Me, I prefer the FM-5's, MachV and Aro, but I'm undecided, and I need some advice. If any of you guys have pics of 951s with Fikse Wheels installed, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Thanks guys.

Yea, I was leaning toward the FM 5's. I remember that black 951 with FM5's, does anyone have the pics? You know, the famous one on ebay that everyone wanted..

Can't go wrong with Fikse. Used to have a set of FM-10s on my car. Sold them to a Rennlister to fund my new BBS wheel purchase. Below is a pic from roughly two years ago . . . before this car made me poor Have a bunch of others too
jerome951 has FM-5s on his silver '89 car. Looks sweet. Maybe he can share some pics

I like the Fiske's. Had them on the 993 race car and now on the 944S2 racer. Great customer service. Noticed a crack in one spoke and they took care of the issue on 2 year old wheels on a known race car N/C.

I decided on the FM5s. Determine what you're going to use the wheels for. If it's primarily a track car, don't get the FM-10s as they're much more difficult to clean than the 5s or Aero's (ask Mike Buck).
Fikse also offers several finishes. For track cars they'll recommend anodizing (which I got). Adds ~$60/wheel, but I just simply wipe them off with Simple Green (even aggressive track brake pad dust hasn't eaten into them). No polishing required.
I know, I know, my car needs to be lowered. I'm working on that.

Wow, that sounds great. I was interested in what size wheels you have Eric. And Mike, what size wheels and tires do you have on your 951? Thanks a bunch, I'm gonna try and find a picture of that black 951 with the FM 5's.

Not only are the rims much cheaper in 17" than 18", but track tires are significantly cheaper as well.
I'll 2nd the look, though, of the FM10s on a dark car. They look sharp.

Cristiaan,
I have 18's As for weight, Fiske ranks way up there on the list of light wheels. They look solid but the big 18x10 rears I have are less than 26lbs each. I have a similar set of CCW 18's and they are a 2 or 3 lbs heavier per wheel
