Well said POP. Keep in mind you are not dealing with a large corporation, but a single guy that is trying to develop products and service his entire customer base for the most part by himself.

If he's a one man shop and can't respond quickly that's cool, but he shouldn't be completing visa transactions and cashing cheques if he has no idea when he can ship.

from what i understand he doesn't even have the credit card swipe thing even working. I order my headgasket a month ago and since it wasn't working he said he would charge it next month when he gets everything installed and fixed. He shipped me the headgasket without even charging me

Damn.........wish I got service like that from Guru !
Just a major pet peeve of mine I guess..............
If I tell a customer "I'll call you on Monday"............I make damn sure "I call them Monday".............If I tell one of my customers........."I'll be there Monday with a quote"................I make damn sure "I'm there with a quote"!
I would not get so frustrated with Guru if Danno wouldn't say........"It will go out on Monday". I delt with those promises for three months when I ordered my chips. Just step up and deliver the unpopular massage.........."I'm swamped and developing a new code to provide more HP......It will be 2 months". I understand cottege industries & nitche marketing, but it is critical for any business to under promise & over deliver. Maybe lead times for Guru would improve if every product weren't a "one off".
But then again......I guess that's the lure of Danno's stuff.

You know its hit or miss but Guru is not the only game in town and IMO good products also need good customer service and Vitesse-SFR and Lindsey all have amazing products along with top shelf customer service.........I have never had a problem with Danno .....but I have read alot of horror stories and will stick with the other vendors in the future..........no doubt Danno knows his stuff and is a HUGE contributor to this board!

How many years has this been going on, i can't belive people still buy parts from this guy. When we have so many other good venders out there. If you are in the market for a set of chips or turbo system,or pb you can't go wrong with Vitesse products, plus the is service excellent. Order something from Vitesse, and you will recive it in the appropriate time same goes sfr and Lindsey.
