Through careful R & D we have found that shock treatment (moderate or otherwise) yields significantly better results than a standard beating. Branding also works well, although for a good fit and finish it is not recommended due the subsequent bald spots that encircle said proximity of brand. This can/could detract from monkey resale value (decrease of approx. 30-35%). FYI
