BEWARE! I was about to do a deal with this guy, he said he was from Lindsey Racing, he said send me the WG FIRST then he would return his part of the deal when he got it. I said ok, but as he was new to the list and the email was not from LR, I said get Dave to send me a confirmation email with the @lindseyracing.com address saying that the deal is ok. You never know with the net and getting ripped off. I got an email from "Dave", but it was dlindsey@ionet.net. I said that I wanted to it be from the LR server (that is harder to fake), I got another from the same saying its ok, the deal is on etc. I sent another asking for the @LR address, another reply from the same address reassuring me. I said that I insist on an email from the LR address at which time I got "Andrew, Let's just skip the wastegate. Dave". Then another one saying not to post my experience on rennlist.
Now its one of two things.
1. This guy is trying to rip people off.
2. LR cant run a business over the net.
Just a heads up incase...

Ok, will be interesting to see what happens. I hope its a scam (and no one has been burnt), or else I cant describe how poor Lindsey Racing operate, seriously very poor.

Ok, looks like its the latter, option 2 - they have no idea how to run a business over the net... I have no idea why he would not just send an email from his business account to verify the deal instead of his personal account, now on his site.
Also note the level of professionalism but posting my name on the page... ??? what an odd thing to do.

that is so, so odd. I've always had great experience and fast responses to my emails from LR. They have always been good, maybe I'm going a little too far out but...hacked webpage? Too odd...

Yeah, I have had fast responses too. It just threw me when it was not from a business address for correspondence like all the other times I delt with them. Even though my LR vac hose has split (twice), the catch can they sent me didnt fit (for LHD cars not RHD), they missed off parts on an order (fan relay), sent me the wrong parts (lower temp switch when I want a stock one), this is a very odd occurance indeed. I wonder if he is on drugs or drunk or something?
