Track car pics

I got a PM asking me how Jim, my/me his partner in the car, learned so much about the 951. Well we did his first rebuild in Tulsa, we spent 4 days there doing his car and he got to assist tearing it down and assembling it, not to mention what he's learned doing most of the work on the track car. Anyway, here is a picture of his 86. This is the car that we detailed with photos of the engine in the Vitesse rebuild thread but didn't have a pic of the outside. I've driven it, hard, and it does everything Vitesse says it will do.
and Geo, here is what you should see inside at TWS.

Ski: Looking more and more like a speeding rocket
That front lip doesn't appear top be as 'low' as it did befor, or maybe it's just the pic?
How is your oil consumption like now?

Some of you may remember this car, as many of you purchased parts off of it:
Well, here it is on the death bed, with the full cage cut out and only the dash left to get out. The dash has a few spider webs around the defrost vents but no major cracks, black upper - light tan lower if someone is interested.

Bret,
The club race run group looks like the one we put on at Road America club race. Did the shunt happen at RA? (I am kind of new to the 944 board, having spent most of my time with the 993 group)

A little update: engine compartment photo. A valve got floated at a Rio Grand Valley DE so the head went back and got all new guides, seals, and one new exhaust valve, #2 cylinder. Also installed Rennline pedals.
Compression is 150,149,148,150 with less than 1% leakdown. Oil consumption is almost nothing for a DE weekend. Jim will have the car @ TWS on the 4th & 5th of Dec and then we will both be @ TWS in Feb, 12-13th. Look forward to meeting some people!

Wow, looking great Bret! Glad to hear she's running again.
Question - is the car you forcibly removed the roll cage from up above the donor for my head and cam?

It was and the shortblock is taking up residence in my garage since it has 100.5 Mahle pistons in it. Jim is taking the Carrillo rods out of it for his 2.8L conversion. Did you get the head and cam installed yet?

Not quite, but I'm working on it this weekend. I had the cam cover powder coated and I reassembled it today.
I'm actually taking a break from it right now (on my laptop in the garage) to check the list. I should receive the rest of my supplies (gaskets and tools) next week sometime and will hopefully get through most of it next weekend.
Hopefully!
