Not trying to derail this thread. Pardon me for mentioning:
I know most of you all don't post in P&C.
But are you folks aware--most (if not all) of the mods just quit?
Cancel culture lawsuit threats from a few woos's (apparently).
What a shytty year.

I'm happy to report that I can add a new AEM 044-style fuel pump and 10-gauge wiring to my list, and just today I found and repaired a cracked heat shield that was rattling. I've no doubt down more on the 951 in 2020 than any year since installing the 3 liter... Here's my growing list:
KW coilovers installed
'Fixed' creaky rear hatch (with felt!)
Fixed window rattle and missing rail guide
Replaced the battery
Made new glove box bumper stops
Found 2 maddening rattles in the cabin
Converted to Griffith's A/C parts with 134a (fixed Leak #1)
Replaced in-dash duct work so passenger side gets hvac
Installed Perry's LED lights for cluster
Wired console switch to garage door
new timing, b/s belts, and new waterpump
replaced front balance shaft seals (fixed Leak/seep #2)
replaced oil restrictor in turbo with smaller version
new oil cooler hose (fixed Leak/seep #3)
tune up: cap, rotor, plugs, wires, oil, O2 sensor, fuel filter
got smog certificate (!!)
Installed 10 gauge fuel pump wiring and relay
Installed 044-style AEM fuel pump to replace ailing Bosch 044
TIG welded cracked/vibrating heat shield (and will powder coat)

Tom,
Your car and many others inspired my post here, earlier today.

"I often wonder if the 968 TS/RS, eventually/possibly with an inline 5 actually should have been the replacement for the 928."

I needed a helmet/coat/hat rack for my new garage, so decided to finally put some old parts to use. After all these years, I finally sound a use for an 11mm wrench.
