I remember when I got mine, it was a great day. The original folks at Pilk were so into reproducing the tops. They actually found the tooling way back in the factory. I told them the patent had expired and that led the way to more tops. It took a lot of calls and over a year. The biggest problem was the latching parts, they had to be outsourced. That is what really held up the initial set. I remember when my top was delivered, I was so excited, and the best part was, at no cost. I am sure Pilk made a few bucks on those tops. I think they went out at 300.00 per top. What I like the most is how bright the inside of the car is. I for one am very pleased and Thanks Pilk for my top.

 

I have fairly wind leak / at speed from my 2017-era Saratoga top along the two front corners, which has otherwise been one of my favorite additions to my '86. This is one of the 2017 re-issue tops discussed in this thread.

After a year or so of tolerating it, I removed the top today to investigate. The outer rubber seal has folded over on itself and seems to be knackered quite well as the top has not been off the car in perhaps 18-20 mos. There are two seals, this is the one you can see from the roof / exterior of the car. Good news - I found a marking on the seal. FTUS10-75 which a google search indicates is "FlexiTrim 10mm (3/8") underside tape molding with tear away alignment"

Know where I can buy this FTUS10-75 seal? Or have extra?

Posting in this thread as I figured this crew would know.

 

Contact pilk see who made them and call them. Bet they have a few extras

I am the one who spent many many hours over the course of 2 years working to secure a new hardware manufacturer, mediating the process and beta testing the new hardware.

These would not have been available any longer from 2019 on!
